چکیده

Abstract Background Long-term outcomes of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) are important to evaluate the overall health burden OHCA on society. The concept disability-adjusted life years (DALY) have recently been utilised measure disease in OHCA, but data an Asian cohort remains limited. We aimed quantify and identify predictors long-term survival (up 10 follow up) patients with as well annual estimated using DALY a national multi-ethnic cohort. Methods conducted open study through linkage Pan-Asian Resuscitation Outcomes Study Singapore Registry Births Deaths from 2010 2020 [1]. quantified standardised mortality ratio (SMR) for each year up DALY. Predictors were identified cox-proportional hazards models. Kaplan-Meier curves constructed population, by key characteristics. proportion surviving (and 95% CI) was calculated eight post-OHCA. Results included 802 cases analysis. mean age 56.0 (SD 17.8), 631 (78.7%) male, majority (552 cases, 68.8%) Chinese ethnicity (Table 1). at one 0.84 (95% CI: 0.81–0.87), five 0.68 CI 0.65–0.72), ten 0.62 0.57–0.67) (Figure Age (HR 1.03, 1.02–1.04, p<0.001), shockable first rhythm 0.75, 0.52–0.93, p=0.015) Cerebral Performance Category (CPC) 4.62, 3.17–6.75, p<0.001) independently associated 2, 3). Long-term survival after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.

OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to assess the long-term survival after OHCA. METHODS All OHCA-calls where the Copenhagen Mobile Emergency Care Unit (MECU) was involved from 1994 to1998 are included in this study. Data were collected prospectively. Data on long-term survival was obtained from the Danish Causes of Death Registry and the Danish Civil Registration System. We conducted a s...

Long-term survival following in-hospital cardiac arrest: A matched cohort study.

BACKGROUND Each year, 200,000 patients undergo an in-hospital cardiac arrest (IHCA), with approximately 15-20% surviving to discharge. Little is known, however, about the long-term prognosis of these patients after discharge. Previous efforts to describe out-of-hospital survival of IHCA patients have been limited by small sample sizes and narrow patient populations METHODS A single institutio...

Temporal patterns in long-term survival after resuscitation from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.

BACKGROUND During the past quarter century, advances in treatment of cardiovascular disease have occurred that might potentially benefit survivors of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). Little is known, however, about the temporal patterns in long-term survival among persons resuscitated from SCA. We hypothesized that long-term survival would improve over time and that this temporal pattern would be m...

Long-term outcomes following pediatric out-of-hospital cardiac arrest*.

OBJECTIVES Pediatric out-of-hospital cardiac arrest is an uncommon event with measurable short-term survival to hospital discharge. For those who survive to hospital discharge, little is known regarding duration of survival. We sought to evaluate the arrest circumstances and long-term survival of pediatric patients who experienced an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest and survived to hospital disch...

Multicenter cohort study of out-of-hospital pediatric cardiac arrest.

OBJECTIVES To describe a large cohort of children with out-of-hospital cardiac arrest with return of circulation and to identify factors in the early postarrest period associated with survival. These objectives were for planning an interventional trial of therapeutic hypothermia after pediatric cardiac arrest. METHODS A retrospective cohort study was conducted at 15 Pediatric Emergency Care A...
